Mango Pie Recipe:

Ingredients:

For the test:

2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup oil (cold oil is recommended)
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder (baking powder can be replaced with 1 teaspoon baking powder)
1/4 cup cold water

For the filling:

2 large mangoes, peeled and diced
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons flour
Juice of half a lemon

Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking powder. Add the cold butter and stir with a whisk or fingertips until the mixture is tiny and resembles flakes.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg and add cold water. Gradually pour the egg mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until the dough comes together in a lump.

Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and divide it in half. Wrap one half in foil and put it in the refrigerator.

Roll out the second half of the dough on a sheet of baking paper to the size of your pie mold. Transfer the dough to the mold and gently press it against the bottom and sides.

For the filling, mix the mango cubes, sugar, flour and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix thoroughly.

Put the filling on the prepared dough in the mold.

Roll out the second half of the dough and cut it into strips or ribbons. Arrange crosswise on top of the filling to create a lattice effect.

Cut off the excess pieces of dough from the edges of the mold.

Place the mold in a preheated 180 degree Celsius oven and bake the pie for about 40-50 minutes, or until the crust turns golden.

After baking, allow the cake to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your meal!
